Teka Interconnection Systems manufactures host and card side CFA headers and receptacles with Solder-Flux Bearing Lead technology. Utilizing it's Award winning SMT technology, Teka CompactFlash connectors with Solder/Flux Bearing Leads provides a low cost, high yield method of connector attachment.
Winner of the 1994 SMT Vision Award and the 1996 Milton S. Kiver Award for excellence in electronics packaging -- Solder/Flux Bearing Lead technology mechanically attaches a precise and pre-determined amount of solder and flux to each contact lead. All that is required for assembly is to place the connector on the edge of the PCB and apply heat to the point of solder reflow -- without adding additional solder, solder paste or flux.
Teka CFA host headers and card receptacles feature robust straddle mounted contacts, without the assembly problems associated with conventional straddle leads. A single excursion through an SMT oven will solder the connector to the PCB. For CFA adapter cards, the Teka 50 pin CFA header and Teka 68 pin PCMCIA receptacle are simultaneously soldered in a single oven excursion.
Teka CFA connectors meet all applicable CFA specifications. The host header features a very low profile, making it ideal for small format platforms such as PDA's and digital cameras. The card side receptacle is compatible with existing ultrasonically welded frame kits. Teka host headers and card receptacles can both be soldered to flexible circuits with the same high volume, high yield processes as used for rigid PCB's.
